BRIANA
VAN SCHUYVER
Briana began her ballet training with Ballet Repertory Theatre at its
inception and has continued training and performing with the company for
over fifteen years. Briana has danced principal roles (Clara, Arabian
pas de deux, and Merliton pas de deux) in The Nutcracker and danced
the role of Micaela in Carmen. She has also been featured as a
soloist in Paquita, Beauty & The Beast, and The Sleeping
Beauty, and some of Ballet Repertory Theatre's mixed-repertory shows.
Her repertoire with Ballet Repertory Theatre also includes Romeo and
Juliet, Giselle, Coppelia, A Midsummer Night's Dream,
and Casa de Bernarda Alba. Briana has studied ballet and modern
at the University of New Mexico, where she performed in student and faculty
concerts. She graduted from UNM with a B.A. in both Psychology and Philosophy
2006.
