JULIE TUCCILLO-STRACENER

Julie began her studies with Marla Hirokawa in New York before moving to Albuquerque and studying with Ballet Repertory Theatre. After receiving a degree in Biochemistry from Trinity University, Ms. Tuccillo-Stracener made a comeback with Ballet Repertory Theatre appearing in Paquita, Casa de Bernarda Alba, Coppelia and as Clara and the Sugar Plum in The Nutcracker. She continued to dance with City Ballet of San Diego and Tulsa Ballet and returned to Albuquerque in 2003 to dance the title role in Cinderella. Other featured roles for Ballet Repertory Theatre since returning have been Sugar Plum and Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker, Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Julie currently teaches ballet at BRT, serves as Ballet Mistress for the company, and is pursuing her PharmD degree at UNM.
