Thax von Reither began his dance career in 1990 with the Northwest Florida Ballet. He performed with the company for 2 years while pursuing his degree in physical education at the University of West Florida. In 1993, Thax joined Ballet Pensacola as a principal dancer. He has performed lead roles in Cinderella, La Bayadare, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Beauty and the Beast, Coppelia, Giselle, Arabian Nights, Midsummer Night's Dream, and Firebird. In 1995 Thax moved to Boise, Idaho, where he performed with Idaho Dance Theatre in more than 150 original contemporary ballets and modern pieces. Throughout his career, Thax has choreographed numerous ballet, modern and jazz works, including Fraternus, Letting Go, Orientation, and Renegades. When not on stage or in rehearsals, Thax enjoys a successful, professional career with Citi. A recent addition to Albuquerque, he is excited to be joining Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico. |
